THEY said snow, and THEY were right. Bit of a white-out driving in, but now the sun is weakly shining through the white sky. I've heard that this is El Nino year, so we'll have our watershed replenished, we hope. It reminds me of wearing our snowsuits under our Halloween costumes, a great look if you are dressed up as a Michelin Man!
You win the earliest snow award! There was a little bit further inland last week, but here on the coast we didn't get even a dusting. This year I'm going to learn how to use the snow blower. It seems that every time Lee leaves town in the winter, there's a big snowfall and I end up shoveling--at least my version of light lifting shoveling, which involves using a garden shovel and little tiny bites of snow. Takes forever. I know, you just let it melt in Santa Fe.
ReplyDeleteI vaguely remember a Halloween when I had a Rin Tin Tin costume that wouldn't really fit over my snowsuit and being very sad. I also remember crashing through piles of leaves on Halloween night. We were so lucky to be kids when it was okay to go trick or treating. The streets were alive those nights. Trade you a peanut butter cup for some licorice.
I remember you as Rin Tin Tin, or maybe I just remember the picture of you posed with your "paws" held up, so cute! But why did you have to mention peanut butters cups? I want one! Right now! Grammie's treat box is in my mind...
ReplyDeleteHoney, you can have ALL my peanut butter cups!
