I've Been De-Vanned

Something wonderful happened on Friday and I have been de-vanned! What a glorious day! I am now the proud owner of a sage green metallic Subaru Forester. I love it. It is a bit of an adjustment moving from my big van to this adorable midsize wagon, but I'm sure within a week I'll be right at home. I think I most miss the ability to threaten my children "One of you is going in the third seat if you don't leave each other alone!" I have gone back to my car roots and I couldn't be happier!

  1. Hey good-looking! Sporty Pellie returns as MamaVan sez bye-bye! This Forester is such an improvement over the originals, which were actually kinda boxy and frumpy. And Subaru really has their green colors down!

  2. Hey, I kind of like the old Foresters. Does this mean I'm frumpy? I also like PT Cruisers, but I really love my old Volvo and want it back again. That car was a tank and cute to boot. Congrats, Miz Ellie! Especially nice since you have the school commute to do. I think you'll love the AWD in the snow. The only complaint I have is that there is no indicator light to show when the AWD kicks in, so you kind of lose touch with the actual road conditions. I have only had one serious skid driving on our snowy roads in my '96 Legacy. It was a doozy and I was only going about 15. I don't think anything would have helped except not being on the road. At least I kept it on the road, thank goodness.
